Advanced Treatments: For example, we areone of the few practices in the Sacramento area offering the EarWell Infant Ear Correction System treatment. Many families travel from all over Northern California to access this non-surgical ear-molding device for their newborns, which allows early intervention that can prevent future surgery.
Full-Service Atmosphere: We integrate pre-operative, operative, and post-operative recovery support in a comfortable setting so you can feel secure and well-cared-for, even when traveling away from home.

Planning Your Visit
Here’s how you can prepare when you’re coming from out of town:
Initial Consultation
You may begin with a virtual or phone consultation to discuss your procedure, travel timeline, and what to expect. We’ll review any pre-appointment tests or documentation so that much of the planning is done ahead of time.
Travel Logistics
Upon scheduling your in-office consultation or treatment date, we can provide recommended nearby hotels, directions to our office at 1200 Suncast Lane, Suite 3, the best local amenities, and transportation ideas (airport, rideshare, rental car, etc.).
Procedure Day & Immediate Recovery
We’ll set a clear schedule: arrival time, check-in, the procedure, and any short-term recovery plan. If you’re staying overnight locally, we’ll advise you on best practices for care after your procedure and the estimated timeline for when you may travel home.
Follow-Up Care
Many out-of-town patients schedule one or two follow-up visits here before returning home (depending on the extent of treatment), and after that we can provide remote follow-up options (video, phone) so you can be monitored without multiple long-distance trips.
Travel-Home Readiness
We’ll provide you with written instructions, emergency contact information, and the next-steps plan for care once you’ve returned home.
Travel Tips & FAQs
How long should I plan to stay?
For most elective procedures, we recommend staying in the region for 1–2 nights post-surgery (or longer for more complex procedures). For infants receiving EarWell, we typically plan for an initial appointment and weekly or bi-weekly visits over 4–6 weeks, so staying within driving distance or planning return trips is a good idea.
Accommodation Recommendations
El Dorado Hills offers a variety of lodging options, from comfortable chain hotels to boutique stays. We can provide a list of recommendations.
When should I book travel?
Once your procedure date is confirmed, reserve lodging and flights/rides promptly. If timing your trip around an infant EarWell start date, earlier is better.
Should I have follow-up near home?
Yes. Once the initial critical post-treatment period is complete, we’ll arrange remote monitoring and coordinate with your local provider if needed. That means fewer long trips but continued supervision of your outcome.
Financing Options
As an out-of-town patient, it’s especially helpful to verify any financing options you may wish to obtain ahead of scheduling. Our team can help you with documentation and answer questions.
Recovery & Home Travel
We’ll provide detailed travel-day guidance (when it’s safe to fly, drive, or use rideshare) and how to manage post-procedure care on the road or on the way home.
